Coaches are needed!!
Anyone interested in coaching a team please contact the elementary office. All coaches will have to pass a background check and will need to commit to running both practices and games.
Games will be on Saturday mornings/afternoons at local schools. Transportation is NOT provided to and from games. Athletes are expected to be at all practices and games. Practice attendance, attitude and school behavior will affect playing time. Cost per player will be $40. The season is approximately 3 months long.

There’s no week like a Scholastic Book Fair Week!
Haas will have their annual Fall Book Fair this week (Monday, October 30th - Friday, November 3rd).
It starts with a choice: What do I want to read? And since being empowered to choose their own books is a milestone opportunity to identify and express their own voice, kids also leave the Book Fair as bolder, prouder, and stronger individuals.

On Tuesday, October 31st students can wear their costumes (no weapons, blood, or masks please) to school. Please remember any treats sent in should be pre-packaged and store bought. Also, please be mindful that teachers and/or staff are not liable for any damaged or lost costumes, so please do not send irreplaceable or expensive items. Also, there will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, November 1st. Thank you!
*We are bringing back the Halloween Parade!! Students will be walking down the sidewalk and through the bus lane around 2:00 pm. Parents are welcome to come out and watch the parade.*

A recess reminder…
As the cold weather approaches, we would like to stress the importance of students wearing the appropriate winter outerwear.
Our goal is to have students go outside for recess whenever possible.
• Students should come to school wearing a winter jacket, gloves, scarves, hat, etc.
• Please discuss with your child the need to wear jackets at recess. Winter outerwear should not be removed when it is cold outside.

Reminder: No School on Wednesday, November 1st

Join us on November 6th at 6 pm for the next installment of our mental health series focusing on the effects of screen time. The session will be facilitated by the Cook Center for Human Connection.
