2026 Homecoming Grand Marshal: Linda Schoener
Leaving a Legacy
Genesee School District is proud to recognize Linda Schoener as our 2026 Homecoming Grand Marshal!
Linda dedicated an incredible 33½ years to Genesee Jr./Sr. High School, making a lasting impact on generations of Genesee students. During her career, she taught 15 different classes, including Health and Life Skills throughout her 33½ years of service. She also served as Yearbook Advisor for 19 years.
Linda’s impact reached far beyond the classroom. Throughout her time at Genesee, she served as a cheerleading coach, class sponsor for four graduating classes, organizer of four class trips to Chicago, school photographer, department head, and participated in health-related groups through both Genesee and the Genesee Intermediate School District.
When asked what being selected as Grand Marshal means to her, Linda shared how deeply Genesee remains a part of her life. She described Genesee as her “second home” for 33½ years and said she continues to miss the students and staff while enjoying opportunities to reconnect with former students and colleagues in the community.
“There is a big place in my heart for Genesee, and there always will be.” — Linda Schoener
Linda’s commitment to students, involvement in our school community, and decades of service represent exactly what it means to leave a legacy.
Please join us in congratulating Linda Schoener, our 2026 Genesee Homecoming Grand Marshal! 💚🐾
