The Varsity Girls Basketball team has a massive week ahead, starting tomorrow night at home against Kearsley High School at 6:00 PM in a highly anticipated local matchup. We need to pack the stands for this one!
👉 Free admission for all students — students who meet event attendance expectations outlined in the student handbook can show up and get in free.
This matchup brings extra excitement after last year’s overtime thriller vs. Kearsley, highlighted by an incredible 49-point performance from Averie Zinn.
And the spotlight doesn’t stop there — Averie has a chance this week to become the Flint-area all-time leading scorer, as she looks to surpass Tonya Edwards’s career mark of 2,307 points.
Adding to the excitement, Lady Wolves Head Coach Mike Zinn is currently up for BCAM Coach of the Week — a well-deserved recognition for an outstanding season and leadership.
Keep up the great work, ladies.
Go Wolves! 🐺🏀

The bowling teams will compete next for a regional title on Friday, February 20th and Saturday, February 21st.
Great job, fellas—keep rolling! 🎳👏

Please note an important update to tomorrow’s basketball schedule. Due to a facilities issue at Atherton, all three games have been moved to Genesee High School and will now be played at home.

Genesee also won the ABC12 FanZone vote last week, earning approximately 64% of the vote against Grand Blanc and the International Academy of Flint. Thank you to everyone who showed their support!
We appreciate everyone’s flexibility with the location change.
Pack the Stands. Go Wolves! 🐺

The varsity boys bowling team is off to a perfect 7–0 start and is now ranked 6th in the newest Division IV state rankings. An outstanding start to the season and a testament to the work being put in by our student-athletes and coaching staff.
A special congratulations to Joey Abbe for an exceptional performance at the SC Singles Tournament, where Joey placed 13th out of 106 competitors. A tremendous individual accomplishment against strong competition.
The bowling teams will be back in action next Saturday at B’s Bowling Center at 2:00 PM.
Go Wolves!

Averie Zinn delivered another performance for the record books tonight, scoring 57 points in a 79–61 Wolves win over Flint Elite.
With tonight’s game, Averie now sits at 2,088 career points, moving from 33rd to tied for 25th all-time on the Michigan girls basketball career scoring list.
The milestones do not stop there:
57 points marks the 11th highest single-game scoring performance in MHSAA girls basketball history
8 different games with 50+ points
43.88 points per game, currently #1 in the state
8+ steals per game, also #1 in the state
And this was a complete team effort:
Reginae Randle finished with 9 points and 13 rebounds
Rebekah Jones controlled the glass with 18 rebounds
These accomplishments are made possible by teammates doing the work that does not always show up in headlines—rebounding, defending, screening, and creating opportunities. Individual milestones are built on team trust, toughness, and togetherness.
The Lady Wolves are now 7-2 on the season. They travel to Flint Southwestern next Tuesday.
Go Wolves!

Great night to be a Wolf.
